Jacob van Hulsdonck
Jacob van Hulsdonck is a flemish painter. He was born in Antwerp in 1582 and died in the same city in 1647.
A contemporary of Rubens, Jacob van Hulsdonck joined in Middleburg Ambrosius Bosschaert, emigrated for religious reasons, and learned there the painting of still life. Back in Antwerp, he joined the painters' guild in 1608 and he had, at the head of a workshop, a successful career until his death.
