1876, Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France. The swing has much in common with Bal du Moulin de la Galette. Both were executed in parallel during the summer of 1876. The swing models, Edmond, Auguste Renoir's brother, the painter Robert Goeneutte and Jeanne, a young girl from Montmartre, are also among the dancers of the Bal. The same carefree atmosphere pervades in both paintings.
